CELEBRITY Noel Edmonds will be driving the digger which cuts the first turf for the long awaited new Okehampton hospital tomorrow morning (Friday.)
Medical staff, supporters and health authority officials will be joining Mr Edmonds, who is patron of the Okehampton Hospital Appeal, to celebrate the event at the site off Crediton Road.
The £5-million facility will replace Okehampton District and Okehampton Castle Hospitals and is expected to be at the forefront of technology when it opens next year.
