TV STAR Noel Edmonds and his wife Helen are to present the prizes at this year's Okehampton and District Lions' Charity Golf Day, which takes place at the town's golf club on Friday, September 8.
The popular event, which raises money for Children's Hospice South West, is now in its fifth year — and top prize this time are four mini golf break holiday vouchers worth £560, donated by Newell's Travel.
The format for the day is a four-ball stableford team event, with two scores to count.
Entry fee is £50 per team — alternatively £200 sponsors a hole, which covers team entry plus free advertising and publicity on the day.
More than £15,000 has been raised by previous golf days, so Okehampton Lions are hoping for even greater success this year.
Major sponsors for the event include Alan Jones Antiques, St Austell Breweries, Bob Gee Insurance and Estate Agents, B J Barkwell, the White Hart Hotel and many others.
In conjunction with the golf day there is also a grand draw with a top prize of £100.
Anyone wishing to enter a team of four golfers or who would like to support the competition in any other way should contact John Mansell on 01837 52871, or 0973 260226.
