TAVISTOCK Colts turned in an exhilarating performance, both individually and as a team to run in nine tries while keeping a clean sheet.

Haig Gorman scored four from the back row and made the Saltash threes' lives a misery.

Tim Child, at scrum half for the first time, played like a seasoned veteran. Full back Wellard did not put a foot wrong and was always safe under the high ball.

Wing duty was shared between Dumper, Pain, Bolt and Lobban who all showed good skills. Prop Jonno Warnock, over from Australia, featured throughout, contributing a try, a session in the sin bin, a prolonged nose-bleed and a missed conversion.

Bond enjoyed several good runs and tackled hard, as did Boreham.

Stand off Mike Rowe provided plenty of good ball for his centres but decided taking conversions with wellington boots on contributed to his eight missed attempts. Other try-scorers were Kelloway, Boreham, Dumper and Bond.
