TAVISTOCK Cricket Club held their annual Golf Day on Friday week at Tavistock Golf Club. The weather set fair for an exciting afternoon with nine teams competing for the challenge cup and the scoring for the four ball better ball competition was very high. The afternoon was organised by Graham Ruth, of Golf Tee Times, and the course was presented in the usual high standard by the golf club's greenkeepers. The winning team was Andrew Jarman Racing, whose score of 86 points was seven points clear of the runners-up team of Key Golf Society 1 and Atlas International, who finished third on count back. All competing teams received prizes presented by Tavistock Golf Club president Dennis Greening who is also a vice-president of Tavistock Cricket Club.
