Wingers Eales and Turner used their speed to cut through midfield and set up Rose who was unlucky to hit the cross bar twice. Gordon joined play and Tavistock started to step up the attacks. Activate sent in a dangerous high ball which Foster managed to push out of goal but it landed at the feet of an unmarked striker who tapped home. The match became quite physical with some hard challenges going in and fitness was going to be a key issue. The second half saw Isaac and Shaw teaming up well at the back letting Hammond push up. Eales rejoined play and after a great run saw her shot just go wide. Rose intercepted a long ball and after beating two players sent in a low cross which Turner left foot volleyed into the net which rattled the goal posts. Activate battled back and two fine saves from Foster and great defending from Isaac and Shaw kept them out till the long awaited final whistle.
