A TAVISTOCK builder has scooped a top award thanks to his important motto of honesty is the best policy. Nick Fell, the creator of Fell Partnership Ltd, says complete honesty is an important aspect of any project he embarks on. It is the reason why he is the February winner of the Professional Builder HBXL Xcellence Awards. The monthly award was presented to Nick by Professional Builder Magazine and HBXL, a company which produces building software. Nick will now go forward to the grand final where he will battle it out with eleven other monthly winners for an overall prize. He said: 'I always prefer to have the client on site so that any decisions are made together. Doing this then makes for a good trustworthy relationship and one that helps build the reputation of the business. 'The business would not be so successful without my dedicated staff of six men and the support from my suppliers.' Nick's reputation is one well known with local suppliers. Paul Palfrey, branch manager at Jewson in Tavistock, said: 'Nick is a real gentleman, he is very down to earth and has a very warm character. 'He instills an air of confidence as soon as you meet him and is very reassuring for his customers.' l Nick is pictured left.
