A PUBLIC meeting will be held at the Parish Rooms in Tavistock next week, to discuss a plan of action to minimise damage to the future of the National Health Service by privatisation.
The main speaker will be Mike Sheaff, professor in sociology, social science and social work at Plymouth University.
Local GPs have been invited to the meeting, which will be held on on Wednesday April 25 at 7.30 pm.
Organiser Martin Quinn said: 'If you are concerned about the spread of privatisation in the NHS, come along to learn how the government's recent changes will affect healthcare provision in the future and what measures should be taken now to ameliorate adverse effects.'
Contact Margaret or Martin Quinn on 01822 617680 for further information on the event.
