THE Methodist Church outing to Paignton was a happy occasion last week, Two coachloads left Northlew Square in the morning, returning in the early evening, having had a brilliant day by the sea. The drivers, who gave their services free, were Peter Spry and Steve Thorne and arrangements for the day were made by Miss Brenda Curtis. CELEBRANT and preacher at parish communion was the vicar. D Chivers played the organ and read the lesson and the collection was taken by Thomas Elliot, who was also the server. Evening prayer was conducted by the vicar, with Mrs D Porter as organist. J Dufty was sidesman and the lessons were read by Mrs V Sergeant and Mrs P Durston.
