THE Oxfam bookshop in Tavistock will soon be opening the doors to its new, bigger shop in Market Street.

The bookshop will be moving from its current premises in North Street to where the Oxfam clothes shop used to be.

With the increase in shop size, new bookshop manager Val Sharpe is appealing for volunteers.

She said: 'We need volunteers for all the action at the back of the shop as well as for the shop floor.

'We're going to be doing internet sales soon so we need people for that as well.

'We are also in need of more books so don't throw your old books away, bring them to the shop.'
