HORRABRIDGE?S new Interpretation Board, providing a useful map plus notes about the places and history of the village, was unveiled last weekend.
The board has been placed in the viewing area by the river, opposite the Leaping Salmon, and was officially unveiled by Dave Cloke, chairman of Horrabridge Parish Council.
Mr Cloke paid tribute to the work done by Christine Cunningham in co-ordinating and producing the new board.
He said it would be an asset and enhancement to the village.
The board includes drawings by wildlife artist Robin Armstrong, village landmarks, brief notes and suggestions for walks.
The new board is the result of a joint project between the Millennium Committee, Horrabridge Parish Council, and Dartmoor National Park Authority.
After the unveiling, framed prints of the board were given by the committee to the Leaping Salmon and the London Inn for display. Unframed prints can be purchased from the two pubs, the Post Office or newsagents in Horrabridge, priced £5.
