THERE is a new time for Sunday worship at St Mary's Church in Sticklepath which will hopefully encourage new worshippers.
The second sunday of each month is morning prayer and beginning on Sunday, June 10 this service will be at 11am instead of 8.30am.
It is hoped the later time will encourage more to attend, including families. The service will be taken from Common Worship which will include music. Following the service there will be an opportunity to share in tea/coffee or a glass of sherry at the Devonshire Inn.
Two years ago when it looked as though St Mary's Church may close, a group of people got together to see if it could be avoided. Their efforts have not been in vain and this group now meets regularly and raises funds to keep the church open.
