WINKLEIGH Primary School will be starting the summer term with a new headteacher.
Jane Rivens, who is presently deputy head at Torrington Infant School, takes over the post from acting headteacher Rowena Hoare after being picked from a shortlist of four.
She is married to Steven, a teacher at Barnstaple Park School and the couple have two daughters.
Former head Reg Ferris retired from the school last year after 15 years in the top job.
