BUCKLAND Monachorum Drama Group is just putting the finishing touches to its new pantomime, Robin Hood and the Black Knight, which will open in the village hall next Tuesday, November 27. Written by local author and cast member Donna Baker, and directed by Sheila Phillips, the plot revolves around the Black Night?s plans to marry Maid Marion and steal Robin?s land ? which Robin and his merry men are out to stop him! Buckland Monachorum Drama Group is a long established amateur dramatic society whose performances of pantomimes and plays are well known in the area. Such is the demand for tickets for this year?s panto that there will be six performances this year. The panto runs until Saturday December 1 ? but is already sold out for the Friday and Saturday.
