THE Crossways Inn at Folly Gate has ben sold by Westcountry Commercial Business Agents, in Crediton, for the asking price of £375,000.
The detached 17th Century freehouse on a holiday route location, four miles north of Okehampton, with accommodation over ground and first floors, attracted much interest, says the company.
The vendors, Mr and Mrs Ray Judd, are leaving to take a much-deserved rest.
The new owners, John and Wendy Williams, who previously ran Okehampton Conservative Club, are experienced local Devon licensees.
Gary Cleverdon, exclusive selling agent, said the Crossways Inn was: ?A very well known freehouse with a fantastic reputation for food which was easily sold by us in this currently active pub market.?
