DEVON In Sight, Action on Hearing Loss and The Royal British Legion are coming together in partnership to provide a monthly drop-in at The Anchorage Centre in Tavistock, the first of which takes place today (Thursday).

This venture is being supported by Tavistock Area Support Services (TASS), using its building as the hub. This will be a place for people with sight loss, hearing loss or for anyone who has previously served in the armed forces and needs information and support, to just drop in and get information and advice from any one of these three charities.

Alongside the drop-in, Devon In Sight will be running its Sight Loss Hub where people with sight loss can make an appointment to see a sight loss advisor, or can attend a talk and support group session where there will be speakers covering various topics relevant to those with sight loss and an opportunity for peer support from others experiencing similar sight loss problems.

The first hub and drop-in takes place today (Thursday) from 1pm until 3pm and this will be followed by the Talk and Support group from 3pm until 4.30pm.

For more information pop-in to the drop-in or contact Robin Felton (Devon In Sight) on 07718 651628, Jason Sculthorpe (Action on Hearing Loss) 01752 228657.
