THE girls welcomed young Josh Midsom-Holmes as their new coach/manager under the guidance of Sue Hammond and TCFC ladies player Robyn Hammond.
The girls met a big strong side on Saturday and struggled from the start, with the first goal coming in a few minutes.
The two TCFC goalies who had half a match each, Autumn Miller and Ellie Oaten, were superb to keep the score down. TCFC had their chances with Sophie Bould-Lynch fighting to get a shot off. Jessie Eales ran her socks off and showed her speed and skill. Heather Wright and Haley Eggins and Jess Bould -Lynch battled hard but could not defend against the physical side of Morley and the first half ended 6-0.
In the second half Tavistock came back on fighting and Heather Wright and Bethany Lamerton kept the ball upfield. Emily Quick and Haley Eggins got stronger in the challenge but Morley managed to score three more in the second half. The girls passing and movement got better as the game went on and the development will happen with more match experience.
n The girls train at Tavistock College all weather pitch on Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm.
