OKEHAMPTON Argyle will run out next season with new kit, thanks to a sponsorship deal clinched with a town business. The first team has announced the new deal with The Fountain Hotel, which is sponsoring the squad to the tune of £2,500. The money will buy new travel track suits, new home and away strip, training T-shirts and polo shirts. Dave Willis of the Fountain Hotel said he and co-owner Nick Hamlyn were pleased to be able to support Okehampton Argyle. ?We wish them all the best of luck with the coming season,? said Dave, who hoped the team would soon bounce back from the disappointment of last year?s relegation. Player manager Stuart Cann said he was ?absolutely delighted? with the deal. ?It?s amazing support for the club ? I?d like to thank The Fountain, and the Okehampton Times who have supported us so well,? said Stuart. ?Hopefully next season will be the start of something good for the club. We have a lot of new young players starting ? in a few years? time we want to really be pushing for Devon League football,? said Stuart, who also wished his joint manager Neil Agnew many happy returns for his recent birthday.
