THE official launch of new gallery Art at the Works, based on the ground floor of Steve Whettem Architects in Tavistock's Dolvin Road, took place on Saturday.

The not-for-profit gallery is open Monday to Friday, 2pm to 5pm, with the first exhibition, featuring two pictures of Mick Jagger by David Bailey, running until November 12.

Art at The Works is currently offering for sale signed limited edition copies of David Bailey's latest book, British Heroes in Afghanistan. The hand-bound volume with exclusive cover artwork costs just £30 and all proceeds go to Help for Heroes.
