TWO new express bus services linking West Devon with Exeter and one linking Plymouth and Callington with North Cornwall started on Sunday.
Excel service X9 will operate every two hours on weekdays between Bude, Holsworthy, Okehampton and Exeter, with two journeys in each direction on Sundays. Most journeys will operate direct between Whiddon Down and Exeter St David?s railway station in order to give faster times, he said.
The X9 service will also serve Exeter bus and coach station. There will be an additional journey on Monday to Saturdays at 8.30pm from Exeter to Okehampton, Holsworthy and Bude. This will connect with the 6.03pm First Great Western The Golden Hind train from London Paddington apart from on Saturdays.
Service X10 will link Newquay, Wadebridge, Camelford, Launceston, Okehampton and Exeter, also operating every two hours on weekdays. It will also operate direct between Okehampton and Tedburn St Mary and call at Exeter St David?s station. The first eastbound journey from Okehampton at 7.05am will connect with the The Golden Hind, arriving in London before 10am.
A new X8 fast, direct, link from Plymouth and Saltash to Callington, Launceston and Bude ? two-hourly on weekdays ? will complete the route in just over two hours.
