A BOOST for Whitchurch Play park will see residents who use the facilities enjoying new equipment next month.

Tavistock Town Council expressed thanks to those who put forward ideas to improve the park. After securing funding, the council will be installing three new pieces of equipment.

These are a cantilever swing, a rotating girospyral see-saw and a combined basketball/football goal end.

These were the preferred items of equipment chosen by local residents during the consultation process.

The works are due to start on Monday August 22, and it is anticipated the new equipment will be ready for use by mid-September.

The council hopes all residents will enjoy this enhanced facility and appreciated the feedback received and the public attendance at the consultation meetings.
