TAVISTOCK won the toss and put Abbotskerswell in to bat on a batsman?s wicket.
A wicket fell on the fifth ball to Craig Alexander. From then on Tavistock struggled to take wickets, but kept the score in check.
Steady batting took the score to 50 before the second wicket fell.
Excellent batting came from J McHon (99 not out), supported by Scarr (37) and Farkins (50).
At the end of 50 overs they were 239 for 5.
Steve Miles bowled well on his debut, getting 2-56 off 15 overs.
Tavistock went in to bat and got a good start. Kaitiff and Jones had a partnership of 81 before Jones was bowled for 33. Kaitiff fell on 30 and Searle had a quick 35 off 24 balls.
Manning and Mortimore came together at the 25th over, making a 52 partnership. Manning went on to make 55 before being caught and bowled.
Luffman controlled the game with quick singles and big hits. Tavistock lost two quick wickets before new boy Steve Miles hit the winning runs with only four balls to spare.
