NOMINATIONS are being sought for local transport heroes — dedicated volunteers who have made significant individual contributions to voluntary community transport in their area.
Volunteer drivers, co-ordinators, committee members or fundraisers could be in line to receive recognition for their hard work and dedication at the fourth local community transport volunteer awards ceremony, to be hosted by Devon County Council.
There will be 12 individual awards as well as a special award to the person judges feel has made an outstanding contribution.
Nominations — which should arrive no later than August 23 — should include the full name, address and telephone number of both the nominator and the nominee, the position held by the nominee, their length of service and reason for nomination in no more than 100 words.
