THE LATEST push to raise funds for cystic fibrosis will be a mystery run on May 26 starting from Shilley Pool near Throwleigh.
The one hour sociable run is being organised by the Kirton Hash House Harriers to support seven-year-old cystic fibrosis sufferer Bow Cann and his family, who will be cycling from John o Groats to Lands End in July to raise money to find a cure for the disease.
You do not have to be super fit to join in as the hashing trail can diverge at frequent intervals so the less fit can get a rest whilst the front runners find the right route.
The charity hash on May 26 begins at 11am from the Shilley Pool Car Park and will involve the Ockment Hashing Group, who are based in Okehampton.
Sam Cann from Hittesleigh said all her four children would be taking part in the event including Bow, who was 'very well' at the moment.
The family are cycling the length of the country in July as part of a drive to raise £15 million for cystic fibrosis research.
The Canns make sure any money they raise helps local sufferers of the disease.
