I AM normally a patient motorist but even my blood begins to boil when trying get exit the Lidl and Waitrose car parks in Okehampton.
Last week I had to queue some ten minutes just to get to the Market Street roundabout. With tired and stroppy grandchildren in the back of the car, both in need of the toilet, the stationary traffic was enough to get anyone’s blood pressure up, let alone a harrassed grandmother’s.
It’s a frequent bugbear for people living in the town — what visitors make of it, I hate to think.
Surely if the council could look at the problem and perhaps link the traffic lights in some way, it would make a difference?
