TWENTY-SIX pupils at Whitchurch took part in the annual music competition, where children have to play 16 bars without music to a panel of judges.

There are two shields to be won: the 'Rhythm Sticks Shield' for a drumming competition and the 'Unchained Melody Competion' for all other musicians.

Photographed, right, are all the finalists with the two winners. Jamie Ninnis won the Rhythm Sticks Shield for his great drumming skills and Emily France won the Unchained Melody Competition with her excellent trumpet playing.
