HAZEL O?Connor will be appearing at the Tavistock Town Hall on Sunday, October 16 and performing with her is Ruairi De Barra (guitar, whistle and percussion) who is one of her co-writers and musical partner of some six years. This is the second event in the season of acoustic music in Tavistock arranged by TFOLK. With the success of the long-awaited new studio recording Hidden Heart, Hazel has fast re-established herself as a concert artist and performer to be reckoned with. The Hidden Heart UK tour is to celebrate the release of this watershed recording ? a culmination of 25 years of songwriting and performance. Live and on-stage, in words and music, Eighties icon Hazel takes her audience on an emotional journey from her childhood, through her triumphs and tribulations of the eighties, a career that had her catapulted into stardom after gaining the role in the film Breaking Glass, right up to the present day. Recent shows have included Glastonbury Festival 04, Celtic Connections 05, Henley, Wasted and many more. Supporting Hazel is local artist Pat Orchard, a veteran with six albums under his belt. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.
