HATHERLEIGH Festival is coming to town again with a weekend of music, exhibitions, crafts and fun activities for all.

There will be music from Paris-based classical musicians at 7.30pm tomorrow (Friday) and exhibits from local artists in the community centre and Commerce House in the evening.

Festival day is on Saturday, May 23, in the grounds of the community centre.

There will be activity stalls, including cup-cake decorating, free range children's art and novelty knitting, along with unusual art stalls selling hand-made crafts, photographs and jewellery.

The day opens at noon with the Cogs and Wheels Ladies' Morris dancers, followed by the Eastern European Gypsy music of Balamouk at 2pm.

Comedy magician Robin Fox, will be performing acts throughout the day, with all outdoor events free of charge.

There will also be a film festival, barbecue, beer tent, street dance, workshops and a sculpture trail.

Saturday will see a comedy variety night, with highly skilled, bizarre acts, from all over the country, performing throughout the evening.

On Sunday, May 24, there will be a special festival songs of praise with Triologue Baroque playing harpsichord, cello and Baroque flute, for an exciting evening performance.
