THE Museum of Dartmoor Life in Okehampton is planning two sessions to recruit volunteers. The first is on Thursday March 16 at 2pm and the second is on Tuesday March 28 at 10.30am. The idea is for anyone who might be interested in becoming a volunteer to come along at these times. It gives them an opportunity to have a look round and see what the museum has to offer, and to find out what openings there are to help. Over a cup of tea and a biscuit there is a chance to talk to some of the museum?s present volunteers. Each session should last about an hour to hour and a half. There is a whole range of opportunities, from welcoming visitors to researching family history to organising events.
