FUN and frolics in the mud and on water will be revelled in by the villagers of Bere Ferrers at their annual watersports day.
The event, which has been held over the last 20 years, will be on Saturday July 21, kicking off at 3pm with stalls, team games and crabbing competitions. A slippery pole competition and sailing and rowing events will follow, during which spectators will be able to enjoy a barbecue, bar, snacks and ice cream on the quay.
Local teams will participate in light-hearted activities such as the bucket and barrel race, big foot stumble, gargle and giggle and floating tug-of-war.
In the evening the Glam Rock Band will make a return appearance, playing from 8pm on the quay, and the day will end with a firework display.
