TWO new facilities have been opened by Kelly College ? a Careers Internet Café and an International Study Centre. The internet café was opened last Friday by West Devon MP Geoffrey Cox and will be available to students seeking all careers and university advice. Students will also be able to use the café as an additional place to work during study periods and Kelly College?s Industrial Fellow Mrs Nona Pang will be based there, expanding links with local companies as part of the work experience programme. London?s Chinese Embassy education counsellor Mr Wang Yongda performed the opening ceremony of the study centre in Plymouth Road, also last week, which will help overseas students achieve a high standard of English and fully integrate into college life. The centre runs a one-year pre-sixth form language course providing a secure foundation in the skills and vocabulary required to meet the demands of A level study.
