RESIDENTS from West Devon are invited to tell local MP Geoffrey Cox what issues are most important to them. Announcing his summer tour of rural towns and villages, Mr Cox is asking constituents to ?Brief Your MP?. The tour will begin in Bere Alston next Wednesday (July 26) and continue with sessions at Shebbear Village Hall and Walkhampton Village Hall on August 1, and Halwill Village Hall on August 3. Mr Cox will also be attending events including Tavistock Food Festival and a renewable energy conference in Winkleigh on July 29, which he is sponsoring and helping to organise with the Devon Association for Renewable Energy. He said: ?I am very much looking forward to visiting the villages and listening to local people?s concerns. Last Year?s tour was a great success and very informative and I hope that this year?s will be too. ?In the year since having the honour of being elected, the variety of issues brought to my attention has been extraordinary. ?I very much hope that as many people as possible come to the village halls to tell me what?s on their minds.?
