MOUNT Kelly families have donated warm coats to the charity CountryCoats2Syria.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, a full car boot load of adult and children’s coats was taken to a collection point in Torbay recently. 

Richard Walton founder of CountryCoats2Syria commented: ‘We have been amazed by the generosity of individuals from the rural community and Mount Kelly who organised a collection by pupils and parents.

‘This generous donation of coats, many for children, will make a great contribution to the survival of a significant number of children in Syria.

‘Countrycoats2syria is working with established charity Syria Relief who provide an established distribution pipeline.

‘These garments are now on their way to Syria to help Syrians in their own country survive the remainder of the winter.’
