FALMOUTH were a bigger side than Mount House, but their size was no match for the technique and organisation displayed by the home side.
The pack quickly gained the upper hand in the scrum where the front row of George Coombs, Richard Sanders and Chris Morris were outstanding. While lineouts were a little more even, the forwards rucked their Cornish counterparts off the ball time and again.
The three-quarters again thrived on a surplus of good ball and the tries soon started flowing.
Centre and captain Tom Painter scored four more to bring his total to 18 in just six matches, while co-centre Henry Manning helped himself to two.
Wing George Day-Robinson and flanker Seb Jaques also scored, while scrum half Bruce Fulton scored his first try for the 1st XV. Tom Painter added three conversions to complete the half-century of points.
In Cornwall, the Colts (U11s) lost narrowly, 5-7, to a team that included a number of U12s. The U10s won their opening match of the season 60-15 - captain Harry Heal scoring a hat-trick in a 13-try romp. The U9s confirmed their promise with their second big win of the term. Their 50-10 win included four tries for Mikey Cousens taking his team?s total to ten in just two matches.
