A GROUP of Mount House School pupils and headmaster Patrick Savage took a trip to Plymouth's Theatre Royal to see the author Michael Morpurgo performing 'Warhorse: Only Remembered.'

Also described as 'War Horse: the concert' by the theatre: the evening included a dramatic reading by the Iddlesleigh author accompanied by music performed by musicians Barry Coope and John Tams.

Before the performance Mount House School presented Mr Morpurgo , a former Mount House parent, with a cheque for £400 toward his charity, Farms for City Children.

FCC supports three farms in the UK, including Northcott near Iddesleigh, dedicated to providing inner city children with the opportunity to experience farm life in rural settings.

The funds were raised during a recent Mount House art show auction.
