THE Mount House cricket teams continued their good start to the season, with the first and second XIs recording good wins over Exeter Cathedral School sides, and the U12s progressing in the Devon Cup competition.

Against Exeter CS Mount House's first team's Louis Smith (40) and Wilf Hadow (29) helped their side score 162 all out. Bowlers Charlie MacEacharn (4-24) and Louis Smith (3-28) restricted Exeter to 131. Mount House won by 31 runs.

Mount House batted first in the second XI match, and were all out for 104, Rory Millar top scoring with 21.

Benedict Pugsley and Barnaby Treneer took three wickets for four runs and Mount House came out deserved winners by 50 runs.

Mount House U12s entertained Okehampton College in the first round of the Devon Cup, and set a challenging total of 135 for 7, based on a fine partnership between Will Partington (56) and Ralph Lopes (44). Mount House won by one run as Okehampton scored 134 for 3.
