SUMMER is on the way ? soon the lanes of West Devon will be filled with the music of morris dancing.

Dartmoor Border Morris are set to start the season with some new traditional dances.

On May 1 they are at the Royal Oak, Meavy from 8pm. A full programme of weekly dance-outs will follow taking them to many local pubs, fetes and festivals ? including Lydford Gorge on Sunday May 4.

Lis Richards, foreman of the side, says: ?One of the highlights of the season will be as guests to Sarum Morris in July with a dance-out at Stonehenge and around Salisbury.?
