NEARLY 100 Morris men will be congregating in Bere Ferrers and Calstock to celebrate summer?s arrival on Bank Holiday Monday.
The men, bearing hankies, bells, sticks and musical instruments, will be raising money for St Luke?s Hospice in Plymouth, which cares for those with terminal illnesses. The Plymouth Morris Men, the Plymouth Maids and the Dartmoor Border Morris will all be taking part.
The dancers have the support of local hostelries in the two villages and will be arriving in their own train, which will leave Plymouth station at 11.32am. They will be entertaining fellow passengers and station staff before the train?s departure.
