A TSUNAMI charity set up by a family in Weir Quay has benefitted by a further £96 raised locally. Margaret Willmott from The Lanterna stores in Bere Ferrers organised a ?choose a square? competition, with squares costing £1 each and the prize for the winner being a box of chocolates. The proceeds were donated to the South Province Sri Lanka Action Appeal, set up by the Jones family of Weir Quay after they were caught up in the tsunami.
