A GOURMET supper celebrating West Country produce at the Moorland Garden Hotel has raised much needed funds for Children's Hospice South West.
The gourmet wine supper showcased local producers and ingredients appearing on the hotel's new menu, with each course introduced by new head chef, Bruce Cole, along with wine matched by Charles Steevenson of Charles Steevenson Wines. Proceeds from ticket sales as well as raffle tickets for a grand prize auction were donated to the charity.
Bernadette Chambers, corporate partnerships fundraiser for Children's Hospice South West, who accepted a cheque for £468.64, said: 'Our thanks go to the Moorland Garden Hotel and everyone who attended the supper. This money is vital in enabling us to offer care, support and much-needed respite to families of children with life threatening conditions.'
Andrew Jenkins, general manager at the hotel, said: 'It was a very enjoyable evening and we're immensely grateful for the generosity of all involved.'
