TWO year ten students from Tavistock College have kick started their planned trip to Morocco, by setting up camp on Dartmoor, providing refreshments to participants from The Abbots Way Walk.

Pippa Tigwell and Rosie Walsh plan to raise £1,095 each to undertake The World Challenge Expedition in Morocco next May. The trip will see them taking part in communication and leadership skills through mental and physical challenges. The trip will provide them with excellent opportunities to develop teamwork and give them first hand experience in an African Islamic culture.

The girls set up their tent on open moorland by Hollow Tor after trekking through thick fog and carrying all their equipment.

Walkers were greeted with home baked cakes and a choice of hot drinks and described the refreshment tent as 'like finding an oasis in the mist.'

Fundraising is a major part of the programme and The Abbots Way Walk refreshment tent is the first of many activities the girls are planning in coming months.
