DARTMOOR National Park Authority has expressed thanks to three groups that have supported Dartmoor recently.

Tavistock Athletic Club and Tamar Trail Runners were thanked not only for their donation of £320 to Donate for Dartmoor but for their tireless caring of the moor — ensuring their running events leave no impact on the moor.

Waitrose Okehampton was thanked for its cheque for £368 raised by the green token scheme support of Waitrose shoppers and Josephine Collingwood thanked for donating £2 from every sale of her Compendium of Tors in Dartmoor’s visitor centres — a gift of £200.

Donate for Dartmoor supports a variety of projects across Dartmoor such as improving public rights of way, restoring eroded paths, clearing gorse, replacing signage and making places more accessible for everyone.
