DARTMOOR National Park Authority has been carrying out a range of repair and conservation works on the moor recently.
The projects include improvements to paths at South Tawton and Throwleigh, removal of vegetation from the quarry face at Two Bridges, Cherrybrook and Laughter quarries, stonelining the leat edge at Merrivale and landscaping the front of the village hall at Belstone.
Gateways and access to Gidleigh Chapel have been improved and the bases of stone rows and circles at Shovel Down near Gidleigh have been repaired.
And ramps to enable cyclists and the less able to cross the newly-constructed road bridge in the cycleway at Burrator have been completed, together with path-side banking to keep cyclists on the right track.
