HATHERLEIGH?S Christmas lights will be switched on next Monday evening (December 1) with many of the town?s shops staying open for the occasion.
The late night opening in Hatherleigh will take place between 6pm and 8.30pm. The Sure Start Project, which aims to support parents with young families, will be offering children the chance to meet Father Christmas in his grotto, and enjoy watching stilt walking and balloon modelling.
At 7pm, the school choir will be singing on the corner of Market Street, and High Street. At 7.30pm, Hatherleigh Silver Band will start playing and the town?s Christmas lights will be switched on.
