THIS result was never in much doubt. The North/Okes forwards led by Will Hawkins dominated loose play, with Rob Stepto and James Speak rampaging through their opposition.

The lineouts also went well for the visitors. One small criticism would be that although they had plenty of possession, the ball did not get along the line to the North/Okes wingers often enough. But that aside this was a resounding win for the combined side.

Try-scorers were Andrew North (3), Luke Miller (2), Darcy Heard, Kevin Dennis, Tom Gill and James Speak.

THE visitors were short of numbers and were always going to struggle in this game.

Launceston took an early lead before North/Okes replied with a try from Peter Gillard, converted by Jordon Lee.

Martin Hann and Chris Reynolds both made good runs, but poor tackling allowed Launceston to run in three more tries.

Peter Vernon was unlucky not to score, when he ran over the dead-ball line, but overall this was probably a fair result.
