The main objectives are to give players who are unable to commit themselves to the full league programme and those unable to play in the evening, to compete with players from other clubs rather like friendly matches.
The matches are played with two mixed doubles pairs for each team on a self-handicapping basis with two rounds of mixed with one set per match and then two sets of men's and ladies' doubles each.
