LOVE was certainly in the air at Tamar Valley Donkey Park when Minty, the 23 year old Shetland pony, met 30 inches high Mini-Moo.

Owners Julia and David Gibbons thought they would never mend Minty's broken heart after his mate of four years, Lulu, who was 35, died.

Minty, the one-eyed pony, was bought for the couple's daughter to ride and after going to see him they couldn't resist the 10.2 hands Shetland.

Mrs Gibbon's said: 'After Lulu passed away, Minty didn't know what to do with himself and it was my daughter who suggested we try the net.

'We trawled through the internet looking for a suitable companion for Minty and then we came across Ad Horse and up popped five year old Mini-Moo.

'We introduced them in separate paddocks but straight away they were saying hello.

Mrs Gibbons continued: 'At first we were worried that he wouldn't take to Mini-Moo as he is quite bossy and he's never been with a smaller pony before. Now they eat together and sleep together, you can't keep them apart.'
