STICKLEPATH?s traditional mid-summer ball takes place next month.

The ball, now firmly on the local calendar of events, will form part of a full weekend of activities on the Green behind Finch Foundry. The event, on Friday, June 20, will be followed by a National Trust-sponsored craft show in the summer ball?s large marquee on Saturday, June 21 and a tea dance on Sunday afternoon, June 22.

South Zeal band Wishful Thinking will play for the ball itself while an Exeter-based five-piece jazz and blues band, Mintjulep, directed by Ian Emby, will provide appropriate dance music for the Sunday afternoon tea dance.

The proceeds from this year?s ball and tea dance will go towards the much-needed funds for the refurbishment programme of Sticklepath village hall.
