A GROUP from Made-Well, a charity that provides activities for adults with learning difficulties in the Hatherleigh area, has created a memorial garden.
Made-Well has created a memorial garden as a tribute to the men and women who lost their lives in the First World War.
The memorial garden contains handmade wooden poppies, which have been painted red and signed by everybody at Made-Well.
Some people chose to paint their poppies purple as a tribute to the animals who lost their lives and the one poppy was painted white to symbolise peace.
Visitors were able to make a donation at our Open Day on June 1 by signing a poppy and adding it to the poppies in the garden.
The memorial was inspired by the tribute of thousands of poppies displayed at The Devon County Show this year.
