A PUBLIC meeting outlining the history of Britain?s relationship with Europe since the signing of the Treaty of Rome will be held in Lydford next week.
A factual presentation ?Britain and the EU? will be given by campaigner and spokesperson Trevor Colman at the meeting in the Nicholls Hall, Lydford, at 7.30pm next Wednesday (December 4).
Mr Colman, who used to live in Tavistock, has given hundreds of talks across the South West on the subject. He has also made a video of his views on Europe, which has sold 15,000 copies.
A similar talk in Tavistock earlier this year attracted more than 80 people.
Organiser George Mudge said the aim of the evening was to raise public awareness about the issues surrounding British involvement in the European Union, with no political party agenda being promoted, and allowing people the chance to reach their own balanced judgement on British involvement in Europe.
