TAVISTOCK's new mayor Cllr Philip Sanders has announced his charity for the coming year.

During last week's meeting of the town council, Cllr Sanders said he would be supporting the Mary Budding Trust during his term of office.

Cllr Sanders said the charity did wonderful work in supporting young people in West Devon.

'It's a very local charity. It supports young children with learning difficulties under the age of 11 and the money raised goes directly to the individuals or their families, not on administrative costs,' said Cllr Sanders.
